The Fountain Hills Supporters of Gifted Education, a parent advocacy group and division of the Fountain Hills Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) also a 501c3 organization, has formed to provide support for administration and staff in our local schools to:

  • enrich curriculum,
  • increase and improve gifted and honors programs,
  • secure speakers in the gifted field to inform/educate parents and teachers on the latest research and developments in gifted education.

In order to remain competitive with neighboring school districts that are currently developing a gifted focus, Fountain Hills must boost programming and increase services for this often overlooked group of children. (Approximately 400 Fountain Hills students are currently enrolled in gifted classes from grades three through twelve.) As a result, more families will remain in our district, new families will be drawn to our district and the instructional level of our classrooms will increase significantly.

The FHSGE are committed to improving the programs available for gifted classes as well as establish ongoing, positive communication between administration and parents so that these students can continue to be challenged in their education and go on to successfully pursue their educational goals and dreams for the future.
